摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte air cell whose charging voltage can be lowered.SOLUTION: A nonaqueous electrolyte air cell 10 is filled with a nonaqueous electrolyte 17 while interposing a separator 14 between a negative electrode 12 and a positive electrode 13 as an air electrode. A sealing plate 16 covering the positive electrode 13 is composed of a material through which air can flow. The positive electrode 13 uses oxygen as a positive electrode active material, and contains an annular coupling compound where a plurality of sulfur-containing heterocycles are annularly coupled. Examples of the annular coupling compound include sulflower, cycloocta[1,2-c:3,4-c':5,6-c'':7,8-c'''] tetrathiophene, benzene[1,2-c:3,4-c':5,6-c']trithiophene, and the like.
