PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: an image forming apparatus in which no damage to a blade member occurs even in an initial period when the unit is brand new; and a process cartridge.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes an image carrier 11 that moves in a predetermined direction, and a plurality of blade members 14a and 15d that contact the image carrier 11 in a counter direction to the direction of movement of the image carrier 11, which are installed therein. When the apparatus is brand new, an admixture of zinc stearate, toner, and boron nitride is held on a contact part of the image carrier 11 and the blade members 14a and 15d. |
