PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polypeptide having high resistance against potexvirus and a polynucleotide encoding the polypeptide.SOLUTION: A polypeptide comprising an amino acid sequence of a JAX1 peptide is used as a virus resistance-providing agent, and the polypeptide is introduced into a plant cell or plant body which is desired to be provided with virus resistance.
