PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method of a base metal catalyst for exhaust gas cleaning that has a base metal-supporting catalyst uniformly supported on a honeycomb substrate and catalytic activity.SOLUTION: A production method of a catalyst for exhaust gas cleaning includes: a step in which a honeycomb substrate having a plurality of cells is prepared; a step in which a base metal-supporting catalyst, wherein a metal including a base metal having exhaust gas cleaning properties is supported by a carrier, is prepared; a step in which the base metal-supporting catalyst is dispersed in an aqueous solution, and slurry having a pH of at least 7 is prepared; and a step in which the slurry is introduced to a partition wall surface of the honeycomb substrate. |
