A watering can rose includes a stem portion 10 that can be engaged with the spout of a watering can for mounting the rose on the watering can, and a head portion 11. The head portion contains a compartment divided into two parts by a dividing wall with one part communicating with a surface having apertures of a given size and the other part communicating with a surface having apertures of a different size, and means operable to direct the flow of liquid into a selected part of the compartment. The means may be an apertured rotatable disc 13 with three apertures, this disc may be positioned adjacent a second disc 14 having two apertures.
