A robotic vacuum cleaner comprises a plurality of segmented cleaning modules 3 that are fastened to each other by means of an interlocking mechanism with the flexibility to move in snake-like, straight, s-curve, zigzag and coiled up locomotive manner. Each cleaning module 3 comprises of at least an agitator, a vacuum suction unit and a brush for cleaning. Each cleaning module 3 can include a built-in rechargeable battery to power up. The arrangement can also include a tower docking station 1 with a central dust chamber 2 for the cleaning modules 3 to dispose of the dust and any debris collected from the cleaning and vacuuming process. The docking station 1 can also recharge the segmented cleaning modules 3 and can include a remote control device 7 for wireless-control of the movement of the segmented cleaning modules 3. The segmented cleaning modules 3 are able to climb up and down a flight of stairs or kerbs and be the shape and form that allows them to be able to clean and vacuum dust and debris that settle in odd small corners and hard-to-reach areas of the floor. |
