An optical train, such as for a telescope, has a positive achromatic objective lens A, a field lens B at or close to the objective lens A, and a positive lens array C comprising one or more corrector lenses located between the field lens B and a final image plane of the optical train. The corrector lenses may be used to correct lateral and/or longitudinal optical aberrations or to reduce the focal ration of the optical train. |
