摘要 PURPOSE: A manufacturing method for a methacrylate-based polymer is provided to easily control the molecular weight of a polymethylmethacrylate by controlling the mixing ratio of a monomer and an initiator. CONSTITUTION: A manufacturing method for a methacrylate-based polymer comprises a step of irradiating the mixture of a radical initiator, electron donor, monomer, ruthenium dye, and solvent with visible rays. The ruthenium dye is a ruthenium(II) polypyridine complex. The radical initiator is α-haloester, benzyl halide, or a combination thereof. The contents of the electron donor, monomer, ruthenium dye, and radical initiator are respectively 0.25-10 mol, 0.005-0.1 mol, and 0.25-5 mol based on 100 mol of the monomer.
