The present invention relates to a strap that keeps the wheelie bin lid closed, stopping it blowing open and preventing animals from interfering with the contents. It is a long strap that is divided into 2 pieces with Velcro between them. The strap also has 2 stick-on pieces at both ends of the strap so it can be connected to the wheelie bin lid and front of the bin. The Velcro in between the straps enables one to open and close the strap so the bin can be emptied and filled easily. The advantages of the invention are that it will stop litter from falling out of the wheelie bin. This will be good for the environment and keeps the streets and neighbourhoods clean. <Figure 1a>
