A detection unit detects a set of different positions of the lever in manual mode, where the positions are obtained by pivoting the lever in the longitudinal direction from the neutral position. The unit detects another set of different positions of the lever in sequential mode, where the latter set of positions is obtained by pivoting the lever in the transverse direction from the neutral position.
