Data mission cartridge for use with on-board weapon computer

A mission cartridge and a weapon for attacking a target are disclosed. The mission cartridge, a memory unit associated with a connector element, contains information such as mission data. The connector element of the mission cartridge is mated to a matching connector element on the weapon body. Once mated, an on-board computer of the weapon uses information from the memory unit to attack the target or records flight data to the mission cartridge.
