<p>PURPOSE: An information processing apparatus and an information processing method are provided to appropriately process positioning method information when modifying position information associated with the positioning method information. CONSTITUTION: An information processing apparatus comprises an obtaining unit (103), a changing unit, a determining unit, and a determining unit.
