The inhaler has an operative liquid tank (3) with an outlet opening (31) in its lower side, and a piezoelectric crystal (4) attached to lower side of the operative liquid tank. A controller (7) receives the voltage delivered from the piezoelectric crystal in an operating condition to measure pressure in a breathing tube (6), which is derived from a signal, whether the breath is inhaled or exhaled into the breathing tube. The piezoelectric crystal is connected with a high-frequency alternating voltage source (71) during another operating condition of the controller to generate an aerosol (2). An independent claim is included for a method for controlling an inhaler. |
