The appliance has a covering plate (8) i.e. lid element, arranged at an outer surface (7) of an apparatus wall (4) under leaving a gap, where the gap is sealed in an edge area (13) of the covering plate by an acoustic sealing frame (9). A space (3) is limited by the apparatus wall. The acoustic sealing frame is provided along edge zone portions of the apparatus wall. The acoustic sealing frame partially consists of an airborne sound absorbing and/or reflecting sealing material, which is selected from resilient and/or plastic deformable material such as foam material or non-woven fabric.
