<p>#CMT# #/CMT# The method involves opening a coupling for performing gearshift after load reduction at an internal combustion engine and reduction of torque transmitted by the coupling. The coupling is switched between the engine and an electrical machine. The gearshift is performed in an automatic transmission, and the transmitted torque is increased. Load build-up is effected at the engine, and the coupling is closed. Load transfer is performed by the electrical machine before and/or after the gearshift. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Method for operating a drive train i.e. parallel hybrid drive train, of a motor vehicle. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The load transfer is performed by the electrical machine before and/or after the gearshift, thus reducing traction interruption at an output side of a drive train.
