The present application relates to building control systems and in particular a web based building control system for ensuring that designs meet with building regulations. The building control system is supported by a design section that provides design software, construction detail, best practice, and technical data that helps the assessor design a compliant building specification that sets the standard for the building control system. This design information is imported into the building control system when the building work starts, producing customised compliance documents specifically for the registered building, therefore ensuring a reasonable degree of compliance.
