A mist-generating device is provided. The device comprises a housing (89) and a nozzle (100) located within the housing (89). The nozzle (100) is movable between a retracted position inside the housing (89) and a deployed position outside the housing (89). A drain chamber (170) is defined between the housing (89) and nozzle (100) when the nozzle (100) is in the retracted position. A drain passage (174) provides fluid communication away from the drain chamber (170). A portable mist-generating apparatus which may incorporate the mist-generating device is also provided, as is a method of operating the mist-generating device. |
