The present invention relates to a computer-implemented method for the automated production of an audiovisual animation (200), in particular a tutorial video, wherein the method comprises the following steps:
a. obtaining (1000) a slide show (100) created using a presentation program, wherein the slide show (100) comprises one or more graphic images (110) and one or more portions of text (120);
b. automatically inserting (3000) one or more entry animations (230) for the one or more graphic images (110) into the slide show (100);
c. automatically generating (4000) one or more speech sequences (220) based on the one or more portions of text (120) and inserting the one or more speech sequences (220) into the slide show (100); and
d. exporting (7000) the slide show (100) to produce the audiovisual animation (200).
