The preset invention relates to a motor controller which is capable of configuring parameter of the motor, even in controlling a motor which can not send a motor identification code. A host control device 5 is connected to a controlling amplifier 3 for controlling the motor 1 to be controlled. The host control device 5 comprises a setting command generation means 25 which generates a setting command for commanding the start of the setting operation of the motor parameter at the controlling amplifier 3; a motor discrimination code output means 27, which outputs a motor discrimination code to the controlling amplifier 3; and a motor parameter output means 29, which outputs the motor parameter for the motor 1 to be controlled to the controlling amplifier 3, according to a requirement commandfrom the controlling amplifier 3. The motor control device sets the motor parameter, based on the motor discrimination code, when the setting command is imparted from the setting command generation means 25 of the host control device 5. |
