<p>A method of producing a carbide-containing ferroalloy welding consumable material and a method of producing a hardfacing on a suitable substrate using the consumable material are disclosed. The method of producing the consumable material comprises the steps of forming a homogeneous melt that has a required concentration of key elements, such as carbon, chromium and manganese, for the consumable material and forming a consumable material from the melt.</p> |
