<p>A pedal arrangement for a motor vehicle includes a pedal arm connected to the vehicle structure via a first pivotal joint connection and connected to a force transmitting element via a second pivotal joint connection. The pedal arrangement further includes a pyrotechnically driven release arrangement. The release arrangement is adapted to perform a release movement in order to release the second pivotal joint connection upon being driven in response to a corresponding activation signal. The release movement of the release arrangement is based on a translational movement essentially along the pedal arm.</p> |
