<p>PURPOSE: A frame error concealing method and an apparatus thereof are provided to prevent the generation of a modulation noise by compensating a frame signal having an error by synthesis of a previous signal. CONSTITUTION: In case there is an error in an n frame, an apparatus searches for two similar blocks in a searching section of a previous frame(200,210). The apparatus generates a synthesis signal for compensation of the n frame by synthesis of first and second previous signals(220-240). The apparatus copies the generated synthesis signal to the n frame(250).
