PURPOSE: A dynamic transmission parameter reset method in an ATSC-M/H(advanced television systems committee-mobile/handheld) multiplexer is provided to solve broadcasting distortion problems generated by shortage of transmission rates in a mobile service adding process. CONSTITUTION: An ATSC-M/H multiplexer determines whether a transmission rate of a legacy ATSC exceeds maximum transmission rates(S250). When the transmission rate of the legacy ATSC exceeds acceptable maximum transmission rates, an ATSC-M/H multiplexer reduces the whole number of M/H groups in an M/H frame(S300). The ATSC-M/H multiplexer reduces the number of the M/H groups according to the calculated number of slots in a sub frame of the M/H frame. The ATSC-M/H multiplexer resets a transmission parameter of a control channel according to the reduced M/H group number(S350).
