<p>The invention relates to a process for treating acid petroleum wastes stored in catch pits, with a view to obtaining a neutral granular product to be easily stored or used as a fuel or in the construction materials industry, and to an equipment for carrying out the process. According to the invention, the process consists in treating acid petroleum wastes with granular materials, such as coke, coal, cement, power plant ash, blast-furnace slag, followed by grinding and neutralizing the same with solid substances, such as calcium oxide, potassium oxide, to finally result in a product which is processed within a special equipment where there take place the final neutralization and grinding until the desired fineness is obtained.</p> |
