PURPOSE: An apparatus for propelling a ship and reducing the harmful substances of exhaust gas using sodium are provided to produce hydrogen by the reaction between the sodium of a sodium cartridge and water and to generate alkaline water concomitantly. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for propelling a ship and reducing the harmful substances of exhaust gas using sodium comprises a gas-liquid production part(100), a water supply part(200), an exhaust gas processing part(300), and a propulsion device part(400). The gas-liquid production part reacts the sodium of a sodium cartridge with water. The water supply part supplies the water to the gas-liquid production part. The exhaust gas processing part supplies the alkaline water generated from the gas-liquid production part into an exhaust pipe so that exhaust gas and the alkaline water can come in contact with each other. The propulsion device part generates the propulsion force of the ship using hydrogen generated from the gas-liquid production part. |
