PURPOSE: An encrypted file access system and a method thereof are provided to enable a rightful authorized person to easily access an encrypted file as well as to increase security by securing an access log. CONSTITUTION: An encrypted file access system connects a first terminal (10), a second terminal (20), and a server (110) with a wired/wireless network. The first terminal is equipped with an encryption unit which generates a security file by encrypting an encryption target file with a key. The second terminal is equipped with a decryption unit decrypting the security file. The server is composed of a database and a control part. The database matches and stores file information of the encryption target file, the key, an electronic mail address of an authorized person to whom the authority to access the encryption target file is assigned, and a decryption log of the security file.
