<p>The invention relates to an equipment for machinability evaluation with a drill of constant thrust force, in order to characterize a material from the viewpoint of the capacity of chip removal evaluation for relatively high amounts of material, during machining. According to the invention, the equipment is provided with a drill (4) oriented, positioned and fixed in a chuck (3) made integral, on a table (1) of a machine-tool, with a sample (7) fixed in a chuck (6) located in a main shaft (5) of a drilling machine, the said sample (7) performing a main rotation motion and an axial downwards feed motion, thereby ensuring the relatively easy removal of the chips from the space between the drill (4) and the hole walls under the action of a weight (10), without influencing the measure of the machinability indicator defined as the length of the hole made in a certain time interval, the constant thrust force being provided by means of a plate (8) fixed on a slide (9) of a main shaft (5) of the drilling machine, where various weights (10) can be placed on the said plate (8) for materializing a certain value of the thrust force.</p> |
