The present invention relates to a glass threads that can be obtained by a method comprising mechanically stretching yarns of molten glass flowing from openings at the base of a die and having a chemical composition substantially free from boron oxide and including the following components according to the following limits in wt. %; SiO40 to 50, AlO18 to 28, CaO 4 to 15, MgO o to 6, NaO 10 to 13,9, NO + KO 13 to 20,8, iron oxide less o,5%. The invention also relates to composites including such threads. |
