PURPOSE: A display device and a control method thereof are provided to change the properties of a stereoscopic image according to obtained user information and display the stereoscopic image, thereby providing an optimized stereoscopic image to a user watching the display device. CONSTITUTION: A memory (160) stores an obtained stereoscopic image. A display (151) displays the stored stereoscopic image. A control part (180) obtains information about at least one user watching the display, changes the properties of the stereoscopic image according to the obtained user information, and displays the stereoscopic image. The user information includes at least one among basic information and body type information.
