PURPOSE: A heating, venting, and air conditioning (HVAC) duct using phenolic foam and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to reduce the danger of a fire compared with an existing HVAC duct made of glass wool, rubber foam, or hard urethane. CONSTITUTION: An HVAC duct (100) using phenolic foam comprises a core layer (10), a front plate (11), and a rear plate (12). The core layer comprises phenolic foam. The front and rear plates are formed on the front and rear surfaces of the core layer and have metal layers (11b,12b). The phenolic foam is composed of a foam resin composition containing a phenol resin, a hydrocarbon foaming agent, and additive. |
