HYDROPHILIC METALLIC MEMBRANES

PURPOSE: A hydrophilic metal separating membrane is provided to improve the hydrophilic property of a metal separating membrane by uniformly dispersing metal alloy particle powder and ceramic components in the separating membrane based on chemical bonds. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing a hydrophilic metal separating membrane comprises the steps of: mixing third and fourth period transition metals, alloy particle powder thereof, and ceramic sol with a polar solvent and dispersing the elements in the polar solvent; preparing a spinning solution by adding synthetic polymer in the dispersed liquid; forming a metal separating membrane precursor by spinning the spinning solution and removing the solvent from phase transition liquid; oxidizing the metal separating membrane precursor; and sintering the oxidized product. The content of the third and fourth period transition metals and alloy particle powder thereof is in the range of 65-85 wt%. The content of the ceramic sol is in the range of 0.5-5 wt%. The content of the synthetic polymer is in the range of 5-15 wt% based on the total weight of the dispersed liquid.
