PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing zircon concentrates with a low radioactive element content is provided to remove radioactive elements from zircon concentrates with high efficiency by optimizing the kind and rate of acid used in an acid leaching process. CONSTITUTION: According to a method for manufacturing zircon concentrates with a low radioactive element content, zircon concentrates are prepared(S100). Sulfuric acid and nitric acid solutions are added to the prepared zircon concentrates with a volume ratio of 1:1 to 3(S200). The zircon concentrates, the sulfuric acid solution and the nitric acid solution are stirred in 70 to 80 degrees centigrade(S300). Leachate is filtered from the stirred solutions(S400). After a filtering step, zircon which is not filtered is cleaned in 50 to 60 degrees centigrade(S500).
