PURPOSE: A logic device using grapheme and a manufacturing and operating method thereof use graphene as a channel and can operate at a high speed. CONSTITUTION: A logic device comprises a graphene transistor (26), and a light valve layer. The light valve includes graphene as a channel. A light valve layer faces a gate electrode of a graphene transistor with a graphene being in the middle. The light valve layer comprises a phase-change layer (32) and a light-transmissive gate electrode (34). The phase-change layer is formed on a graphene layer. The light-transmissive gate electrode is formed on the phase-change layer.
