PURPOSE: A gate device for motorized access passageways is provided to prevent a motor from being overloaded and reduce force applied to an internal link, thereby reducing malfunctions and increasing lifespan of the gate device. CONSTITUTION: One pair of rotary links (11,12) has a middle part, a driven part, and a driving part. The middle part is rotatably assembled to one pair of fixed shafts, respectively, which is disposed at the upper position and the lower position of a frame being spaced apart from each other. The driven part is respectively provided at a side of the middle part to be combined to a gate door by a hinge. The driving part is respectively provided at the other side of the middle part and connected to each other by a connection link. A driving motor (120) is installed in the lower space of the frame and rotates in a forward direction or in a reverse direction within a fixed angular range. The driving motor is combined to a shaft of the motor. A connecting rod (30) has an end connected to an end of the driving rod and the other end connected to the driving part of a first rotary link between the one pair of rotary links. One pair of limit switches (41,42) is disposed in a symmetrical form in positions adjacent to the fixed shaft in order to control the forward or reverse direction of the first rotary link or a second rotary link. A contact member (50) has a contact surface which respectively contacts with the limit switches and is assembled integrally with the first rotary link or the second rotary link so as to be rotated together with the first rotary link or the second rotary link.
