This invention is called the Cedar Ripper roofing tool. it is a toot used in re-roofing, for stripping old cedar roofing material off the roof. The Cedar Ripper comes from; the idea of a spring to lift the cedar off the strapping. The spring is connected to a handle which enables the spring to be maneuvered throughout the roof. The tool is designed to slide in between the strapping, reaching underneath the cedar roofing material, onto the top side of the rafter. Lifting up on the handle will force multiple layers of roofing material off the strapping, which holds the cedar in place.
