FIELD: process engineering.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to making holes with fused edges. Proposed method comprises feeding coiled material 4 via point of clamping between rotary ultrasound head 1 and rotary support roll 2 to create fused regions in coiled material. Note here that roll 4 is located on support roll set to preset rpm. Note here that ultrasound head rpm is adjusted to that differing from support roll rpm. Difference in rpm is selected to make strain developed in roll destruct center of fused regions in coiled material 4.
