FIELD: electrical engineering.SUBSTANCE: improved quality of the induction motor start and stop is ensured as a result of increase of the number of energy levels from two in a conventional star-delta starter and efficient change of energy levels. Increase of the number of energy levels is ensured by way of using electric elements that may be used as electric energy sources or electric current modulators. Change of electric levels is performed by way of their stepwise increase or decrease or in another manner, specified in advance. Change of electric levels is performed automatically after preset period of time or at moments determined by the control system. The control system uses one parameter determining the desirable quality.EFFECT: improved quality of the induction motor start and stop by way of increase of the number of steps of measurement of voltage on the motor windings in spite of possible changes in the induction motor power supply and load conditions.6 cl, 7 dwg
