PURPOSE: A strain gauge and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to equip a resistor which is comprised of the network of the randomly aligned carbon nanotube, thereby improving the gauge factor of the strain gauge. CONSTITUTION: A strain gauge (100) includes an insulating substrate (110), a first and a second electrode pads (131,133) and a resistor (150). The first and the second electrode pads are formed separately on the insulating substrate. The resistor comprises a first end unit and a second end unit. The first end unit is electrically connected with the first electrode pad. The second end unit is electrically connected with the second electrode pad. The resistor has a plurality of bent unit. The resistor is comprised of the network of the randomly aligned carbon nanotube.
