摘要 PURPOSE: An apparatus for diagnosing defect of a rotor of an induction motor and a method thereof, and a medium recorded with a computer readable program to execute the method are provided to diagnose eccentricity state of various induction motors easily without using an expensive diagnosis apparatus. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for diagnosing defect of a rotor of an induction motor includes a voltage supply unit (110), a current measurement unit (120), a reactance calculation unit (130) and an eccentricity diagnosis unit (140). The voltage supply unit supplies a single phase voltage to the induction motor. The current measurement unit measures a current supplied to the induction motor by the supply voltage. The reactance calculation unit calculates reactance of the induction motor by using the voltage supplied to the induction motor and the measured current while the rotor of the inductor motor rotates. The eccentricity diagnosis unit diagnoses air gap of the induction motor as eccentricity when the reactance value calculated during 1 rotation of the rotor of the inductor motor is larger than a pre-established reactance value always.
