The method involves providing an availability status e.g. application available, of an interactive application e.g. electronic mail application, and modifying a state of an interface (5) i.e. graphical user interface, for interacting with the information based on information relating to a vehicle (1) or its location. The information relating to the vehicle or its location is transmitted by a sensor, a geolocation or global positioning system (22) or a remote server (23). The application is represented on the interface by a corresponding graphical icon.
