PURPOSE: A myenite-type electride substituted with fluorine and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to prevent thermal decomposition of 12CaO·7Al2O3 to CaO·Al2O3 and 3CaO·Al2O3 under reduction atmosphere at high temperature. CONSTITUTION: A manufacturing method of a myenite-type electride substituted with fluorine comprises the following steps: mixing calcium carbonate(CaCO3) powder, alpha-alumina(α-Al2O3) powder, and calcium fluoride(CaF2) in a molar ratio of 12-x:7:x(here, x is a real number and satisfies 0<x<=1); forming powder by heat treating the mixture of calcium carbonate(CaCO3) powder, alpha-alumina (α-Al2O3) powder, and calcium fluoride(CaF2) at 1200-1400 deg. Celsius; and sintering the powder by using an electric discharge plasma sintering process. In the mayenite type electride substituted with fluorine, fluorine is substituted at oxygen site. The myenite-type electride substituted with fluorine can be represented by[12CaO·7Al2O3]4+·2xF-·(2-x)O2. |
