The body has a pavilion (16) covering a passenger compartment (14), and comprising a front part (24) covering a front portion (20) of the compartment, and a rear part covering a rear portion (22) of the compartment. The pavilion includes a central arch (28) mounted in a fixed position between the front and the rear parts while a rear arch (46) is adapted to contact against the central arch. Upper walls (64) and rear side walls (66, 68) are realized in a flexible material so as to bend between the rear arch and the central arch when the rear arch contacts against the central arch.
