PURPOSE: A vehicle driving information guide service system using vehicle number recognition and a service method thereof are provided to recognize a vehicle number from an image obtained by a user terminal and allow a server to inform a wanted vehicle or a dangerous vehicle to a user by using the vehicle number. CONSTITUTION: A user terminal (100) generates vehicle number plate information by recognizing a number plate of a vehicle from a video obtained by a camera and generates position information which is generated from global positioning system (GPS) information. The user terminal provides vehicle recognition information to a service system (300) by generating the vehicle recognition information including the position information and the vehicle number plate information. The user terminal receives vehicle driving information from the service system. The service system transmits the vehicle recognition information to a police agency server (200).
