PURPOSE: A terminal and a control method thereof are provided to convert an image into a 3D image and to reproduce the 3D image in reference to script information without recognizing the 3D effect characteristic of an image. CONSTITUTION: A control unit (180) converts an image into a 3D image by analyzing the characteristic of 3D effect which is obtained in each frame of the image when the image is initially converted into the 3D image. The control unit generates script information including the analyzed characteristic of the 3D effect in each frame. The control unit stores the generated script information in a memory. The control unit regenerates the image after converting the image into the 3D image based on the characteristic of the 3D effect for each frame within the stored script information.
