COSMETIC COMPOSITIONS FOR MOISTURIZING EFFECT ON THE SKIN COMPRISING LACTIC ACID EXTRACT OF CHIONOEOETS JAPONICUS

PURPOSE: A lactic acid extract of Chionoecetes japonicus shells and a cosmetic composition containing the same for skin moisturization are provided to have excellent moisture retention, emulsification, and oil stability, and to manufacture a cosmetic product and a functional food with an improved moisturizing function. CONSTITUTION: A cosmetic composition for skin moisturization contains a lactic acid extract of Chionoecetes japonicus shells as an active ingredient. Chionoecetes japonicus shells are Chionoecetes japonicus leg shells. A method for preparing the extract comprises the steps of: pulverizing the Chionoecetes japonicus leg shells; mixing the Chionoecetes japonicus leg shells and ethanol in a ratio of 1:20-1:25 (w:v) and obtaining an extract; filtering the extract by reduced pressure and obtaining a filtered liquid and a precipitate; and adding ethanol containing 3-5 % of lactic acid to the precipitate and extracting.
