SULFUR-MODIFIED CHLOROPRENE RUBBER, METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME, AND MOLDED BODY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a sulfur-modified chloroprene rubber excellent in adhesivity with core wires and reinforcing fiber materials; a method for producing the same; and a molded body.SOLUTION: A sulfur-modified chloroprene rubber is obtained by carrying out a polymerization step of blending 0.1 to 2.0 parts by mass of sulfur based on 100 parts by mass of 2-chloro-1,3-butadiene, and emulsion polymerizing the blend to a monomer conversion rate of 60 to 90%; and a plasticization step of adding an aqueous medium dispersion liquid containing 10 to 70 mass% of tetramethylthiuram disulfide to the reaction liquid after the polymerization to thereby modify polymer terminals, wherein 1H-NMR spectrum as measured in a heavy chloroform solution has peak tops at 3.55 to 3.61 ppm and at 3.41 to 3.47 ppm; and the ratio (A/B) of the peak area (A) of 3.55 to 3.61 ppm and the peak area (B) of 4.2 to 6.5 ppm is 0.05/100 to 0.70/100.
