PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device capable of preventing the storage capacity of a storage medium from being wastefully used while sufficiently capturing a motion of a subject.SOLUTION: An imaging device comprises: an imaging unit that photographs a subject to generate image data; an area setting unit that sets a partial area in an image represented by the image data; a motion amount detection unit that detects a motion amount of the subject from image data in the partial area; and an imaging control unit that causes the imaging unit to perform photographing at a higher photographing rate as the motion amount is larger. A program causes a computer to function as the imaging device. |
