PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray CT apparatus capable of retaining a high-quality tomographic image by obtaining a sufficient resolution even if the speed of rotation is high.SOLUTION: The X-ray CT apparatus in the embodiment includes: an X-ray tube; a tube voltage generating means: an X-ray detector; a data collecting means; and an image processing means. The tube voltage generating means applies the tube voltage to the X-ray tube. A tube voltage control means controls the tube voltage generating means to periodically change the tube voltage. The X-ray detector is disposed corresponding to the X-ray tube with a subject disposed in-between to detect X rays transmitting the subject. The data collecting means collects first sampling data when high voltage is applied to the X-ray tube within one cycle in synchronization with the change of the tube voltage from the data detected by the X-ray detector, and collects second sampling data when low voltage is applied to the X-ray tube after elapse of a prescribed period from the collection of the first sampling data. The image processing means creates images based on the collected first sampling data and second sampling data. |
