PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce backlash in moving an alignment member.SOLUTION: A medium conveyance device includes: a placing part that has a placing surface on which media are placed; a guide that extends in a width direction of the medium; the alignment members 81, 82 that have bodies 92, 153 of the alignment members for aligning the placed media and parts 101, 143, 116, 149 to be guided along the guide, and move along the guide part; a power source; transmission members 162, 172 that transmit forces from the power source; parts 102, 144 to be transmitted that are supported by the bodies 92, 153 of the alignment members, and where positions P1, P2 contacting with the transmission members 162, 172 and receiving the forces correspond to center-of-gravity positions PG1, PG2 of the alignment members with respect to a direction perpendicular to the forces received from the transmission members 162, 172. |
