PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steel process line control device for improving the quality of a product by stabilizing catenary control at acceleration and deceleration, and by eliminating bottom displacement in a facility of a steel plate.SOLUTION: A steel process line control device comprises a control means which corrects speed set values of rolls by using a difference between the tension or an actual value of a catenary lowest point position and a set value between a pair of the rolls for transporting a plate-shaped material, performs the speed control of the rolls, and performs control so that the catenary lowest point position may constantly be maintained. In order to correct a change of the catenary lowest point position which is generated at the acceleration and deceleration of the rolls, a lowest point correction table indicating the deviation of a changed position with respect to a prescribed position of the catenary lowest point to each acceleration/deceleration rate and a change of a plate thickness is stored in a storage means, and the control means performs the position control of the catenary lowest point position by the speed control which has corrected the set value of the catenary lowest point position following the deviation of the changed position. |
